FAQS
(1) When using the device for the first time, how long does it take to automatically calibrate
It usually takes about 3-7 days.
(2) Why is the temperature and humidity inconsistent when the base station and the sensor are placed together
? The size and structure of the devices are different. In order to get more accurate readings, the main unit has more small holes for ventilation, while the remote sensor is usually placed in a relatively harsh environment, its holes will be smaller. At this time, the chip environment will be slightly different. This is possible one of the reasons for the difference. Therefore, the devices need learning and calibration time. Generally, the longer it is placed, the more accurate the temperature will be.
? If the distance between the cold source or the heat source is different, this is also one of the reasons for the difference.
? To compare temperature, we recommend a mercury or red spirit(fluid) thermometer. Bi-metal(dial) and digital thermometers(from other weather stations) are not a good source and have their own margin of error.
(3) Why is the measured outdoor temperature different from that on the APP (local weather bureau)
? The Newentor indoor outdoor thermometer is a home version device, its detection range is around the house and its data will be more accurate.
? The data detection range on the weather channel/APP is the area. Besides, airport weather stations are only updated once per hour.
? If the environment near the house is comfortable(plants, crops, air conditioner, etc.), it is normal for the temperature of the sensor to be different from that on the APP.
(4) Is the sensor waterproof
No.
(5) The sensor cannot connect with the base station
? Please ensure that the channels of the base station and sensor are consistent.
? Please ensure that the sensor is placed correctly and the distance from the base station is within the connectable range (refer to ‘5. SENSOR PLACEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS’).
? Be sure to connect the sensors in sequence. (Refer to ‘3. CONNECT BASE STATION AND SENSOR’).
(6) Why does the screen automatically switch to other channels in turn
If the icon &C& is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen, it means that the device has entered the cycle mode, press the &CHANNEL& button to exit the mode and return to CH1.
